Report: Chelsea now send scouts to watch ‘incredible’ player yesterday, they will have been disappointed
Reports from Italy have claimed that Chelsea sent scouts to watch Victor Osimhen for Napoli yesterday against Monza.
According to Il Mattino, there were two representatives from Stamford Bridge in attendance to watch an underwhelming performance from the recently crowned Serie A champions.
Elite clubs from around the world have been linked to the signing of Osimhen this summer, as they hope to take advantage of Napoli’s status in the game to lure him away.

A deal won’t come cheap though, with the prices being mentioned likely to make an addition a club-record one for the Blues.
This could be tough to warrant, given that they only just set that record with the signing of Enzo Fernandez back in January.
The Nigerian international has enjoyed a sensational individual season, scoring 28 goals in all competitions.

Those stats and performances have not gone unnoticed, with fellow striker Mario Balotelli recently describing his achievement as ‘incredible’.
Striker is a position where the Blues are desperate to address at the end of the season, even though they have Christopher Nkunku ready to join the club at the end of the season.
The likes of Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and even Raheem Sterling have not been reliable for goals this season, although the Englishman found a double at the weekend against Nottingham Forest.

The club have been linked to a number of strikers for this summer, with Lautaro Martinez emerging as a potential candidate due to the interest of Mauricio Pochettino.
There is also the potential that the incoming manager looks to launch a reunion with Romelu Lukaku and the club, given that he will be returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
The Belgian has shown his quality in recent weeks, scoring some superb goals for Inter Milan on loan.
