‘I will say this’: Micah Richards predicts how Mauricio Pochettino will get on as Chelsea manager next season
Micah Richards has claimed that he believes Mauricio Pochettino will make Chelsea competitive from as early as next season.
He told the Mail Online that he believes the decision made by the Blues to hire the 51-year-old is an ‘outstanding’ one.
Reports over the weekend stated that an agreement had been reached between the two parties for Pochettino to take over at the end of the season.

This will allow Frank Lampard to see out the rest of the campaign, and potentially take the brunt in what will be three extremely tough games.
Players however will purely be playing for their place next season, with the Argentine surely keeping a close eye on these upcoming fixtures.
It has already been claimed which players the prospective manager has been considering to build his side around, with it being well known the style of play he likes in his side.
Richards praises Pochettino appointment
This has lent into reports that he would love the club to sort out the situation with Mason Mount, who is currently expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Whether he remains at the club or not, Richards is tipping the Blues for strong results with Pochettino at the helm.

He said: “A miserable season for Chelsea will soon be over and I will say this now: it will not be repeated next year. Mauricio Pochettino is an outstanding appointment and will make them competitive.
“There are some big decisions to make with the squad but he is inheriting talent. They could take off.”
One position that certainly needs addressing is up front, although there may be an eye towards an extraordinary return for Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on fire in Italy.
