Report: Club’s director wants Graham Potter as manager, would be in charge of Ross Barkley
Reports have claimed that Nice Director of Sport Dave Brailsford is keen to hire Graham Potter as the club’s next manager.
According to GFFN, the Englishman is keen for the former Chelsea boss to take over, despite the club’s Sporting Director preferring a Ligue 1 candidate.
Todd Boehly brought Potter’s time at Chelsea to an end just over a month ago, although it is fair to say that he was given ample opportunity to turn around what was very obviously a sinking ship.

Despite a strong start after replacing Thomas Tuchel late last year, things took a drastic turn at Stamford Bridge as the Blues began to plummet down the table.
The owner looked to address the problems in January with somewhat of a rebuild in West London, bringing in a number of young stars.
They smashed their transfer record in order to sign Enzo Fernandez, and complimented his addition with the likes of Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoit Badiashile.
Potter considered for Nice job
However, things didn’t change, and Potter was replaced after Chelsea dropped into the bottom half of the table.
Frank Lampard has taken over until the end of the season, although fortunes have certainly not got any brighter in the time since the managerial change.
Now, it could be time for the former Brighton man to return to the game, with Nice reportedly considering bringing him in.

If he was appointed, he would have the opportunity to coach a number of former Premier League players, with one of those being Ross Barkley.
The England international’s Chelsea career came to an end last summer, after a number of seasons where he was unable to establish himself as a starter.
While things didn’t work out at Stamford Bridge, it only feels like a matter of time before Potter gets back to his growth in the managerial game.
