Report: What £47.5m Man City star did after Raheem Sterling missed a big chance for Chelsea yesterday
Reports have claimed that Manchester City defender John Stones actually consoled Raheem Sterling after he missed a big chance for Chelsea yesterday.
According to The Athletic, the former teammates somewhat embraced just before the forward received a standing ovation from his former supporters.
Stones has enjoyed arguably his best campaign since joining City for £47.5m all the way back in 2016.

Sterling was certainly busy on his second return to his former side of the season, playing in a front three with Kai Havertz and Conor Gallagher.
A number of key chances fell his way, however he was not able to find the net in a story Chelsea fans can’t wait to hopefully be over this season.
Despite his very nice brace last week against Nottingham Forest, the England international was unable to level things up yesterday after Julian Alvarez’s opener for the champions.
Sterling consoled by Stones
Having to give a host of his former teammates a guard of honour before the game started will have been a stark reminder for Sterling of just how good things were for him last season, and how far the standards have fallen this season.
Reports have stated that the 28-year-old is more than up for the challenge that faces the Blues in the form of turning around the sinking ship at Stamford Bridge.

It has already been claimed that he is a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans when the Argentine eventually takes over as the new permanent manager.
Supporters will just be waiting for the announcement to be made to bring some form of promise ahead of next season, with many giving up on this one as soon as they were eliminated from the Champions League.
While the signing has not worked out as hoped so far, there is still time for Sterling to be one of the key players in a Chelsea side going forwards.
