'Still pushing': Chelsea really want to sign £95m striker, trying to sell players to get him - journalist
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Chelsea are still pushing to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
He claimed on his Twitter that the Blues are looking to sell a number of their players in order to fund a deal for the Nigerian international.
The addition of a striker is something the Blues are in desperate need for next season. The likes of Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling have not been able to find the net on a regular basis this season.

Even after the Englishman struck a brace against Nottingham Forest, it was the polar opposite in terms of finishing against Manchester City at the weekend.
A move for Osimhen would potentially break the club’s transfer record that they smashed in January with the addition of Enzo Fernandez.
Plettenburg has said the request of the higher ups at Napoli would see the club breaking their record in consecutive windows if they do want to pull off a deal.
Chelsea really want Osimhen
He said: “Chelsea is still pushing! They want him as their new striker! He’s top of the list. Understand there are price expectations about €110m + Boni at this stage.
“But Chelsea has to sell players first and De Laurentiis wants more and at least €150m. Problematic for Chelsea: No Champions League next season.”

The Blues have been linked to a number of strikers already this summer, further indicating just how bad the problem has got at Stamford Bridge in front of goal.
This is to go alongside the awaiting addition of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, after that was agreed months ago.
Ivan Toney was another name who was originally near the top of their shortlist, however his recent confirmed ban has seen him drop down the pecking order.
