My favourite: Christopher Nkunku now explains which position he wants to play at Chelsea
New Chelsea signing Christopher Nkunku has now explained his favourite position ahead of making his debut for his new club.
He told the official club website that he prefers playing in a striker role, despite his versatility seeing himself feature in a number of positions in his career.
Supporters were delighted to see Nkunku announced as the club’s first signing of the summer, in a window that promises to be busy in West London.

Many were already in the knowledge that a deal was likely to be announced early in the window after the medical had been completed months prior.
Talk now is regarding where he is actually going to feature for Chelsea, with him playing in a number of different roles for both RB Leipzig and France.
Nkunku outlines favourite position
He has previously claimed himself that he feels working off the striker brings out the best of his game, however he may have now changed his mind since then.
He said: “My favourite position is striker. I have also played as a midfielder and these last years I played striker — I like this position. I want to be happy on the pitch and do some skills and protect my football.”

It can be speculated that Mauricio Pochettino is considering using Nkunku in a role behind the striker, with that figure currently being unknown.
This is because of his willingness to allow Kai Havertz to seemingly leave the club, with it being expected that he is about to complete his move to Arsenal.
It may also explain why the Argentine was not keen on the club launching a move to sign Joao Felix after his loan spell with the club came to an end.
