Report: 24-year-old Chelsea player really wants out, he's ready to take a pay cut to leave

Reports have claimed that Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has decided he really wants to leave the club this summer.

According to The Athletic, the American is willing to take a pay cut in order to be playing his football elsewhere next season.

Last season was another tough campaign for Pulisic, who endured more sporadic appearances off the bench as the majority of his minutes.

It has been the same story pretty much since the 24-year-old joined the club, other than during Project Restart when he was one of the most impressive players in the league.

A number of managers have come and gone this season at Stamford Bridge, however Pulisic has not seemingly impressed any of them enough to earn consecutive starts across all competitions.

January was a nightmare month for him too. An injury picked up against Manchester City in the league would keep him out for a number of weeks.

While he was on the sidelines, he saw the club go big in the market to look to address their issues out wide.

They signed both Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke for big money, with the intention being that they would be long-term servants at the club.

This may explain why Pulisic is now reportedly very keen to secure his exit away from Stamford Bridge, with him likely not to be the only member of the first team pushing to leave.

Fellow wideman Hakim Ziyech has reportedly been pushing for an exit too, after he saw his loan move to PSG collapse for seemingly no reason back in January.

Despite Frank Lampard being a fan of the player, he has still seen minutes severely limited in the run in towards the end of the season.
