Report: Chelsea make £34m bid for ‘exceptional’ player, he wants to join

Chelsea are reportedly determined to bring Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana to Stamford Bridge.

According to TMW, Chelsea are interested in signing Andre Onana from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Chelsea have made a bid of €40 million (£34.26 million) for the 27-year-old goalkeeper.

Italian giants Inter have turned down that offer.

The Nerazzurri will play in the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City on Saturday evening and do not want to talk transfers before then.

TMW have reported that Onana wants to go to the Premier League and already has a broad agreement with Chelsea over a potential transfer.

Could Chelsea sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan?

In our view, Chelsea could be able to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.

That the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have already made an offer shows just how keen they are on the Cameroonian, who, according to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in Metro on Friday, is “an exceptional goalkeeper”.

Now, of course, Inter are going to play in their biggest football match of the season today, so clearly the Nerazzurri are not going to think of any players leaving.

However, after today’s match, things could happen, and we believe that if Chelsea return with a better offer, then a transfer could happen, especially if Onana himself wants to join the Blues.
