‘New proposal’: Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are now about to get more offers for their £34m player

Fabrizio Romano has stated that Chelsea are about to receive a number of new proposals to try and sign Romelu Lukaku.

He took to Twitter to claim that a number of clubs from Saudi Arabia are looking to complete a deal for the striker if his options in Europe run out.

Lukaku looks as if he is trying to burn every bridge possible at the moment, with it safe in the knowledge that he will not be returning to action as part of the Chelsea squad.

It looked as if he was set on a move to Inter Milan, with whom he spent the prior season on loan with.

However, he has sensationally seemed to ruin that too, with him reportedly being upset with being benched for the Champions League final against Manchester City.

This saw him begin negotiations with Serie A rivals Juventus, however this left the Milan club unhappy, and eventually want to walk away from a deal.

Chelsea to receive more offers for Lukaku

While a move for Turin is still possible, it has been claimed it relies on them finding a suitor for Dusan Vlahovic.

With this by no means confirmed, Romano has claimed there are still Saudi Arabian clubs waiting in the wings to try and complete a deal for the striker.

He said: “Understand Saudi clubs keep pushing for Romelu Lukaku — working on new proposal but still waiting to see what’s gonna happen with Juventus.

”Lukaku’s priority has always been to continue in Europe but Saudi side will insist again if Juve deal (priority) won’t happen.”

Chelsea will ultimately not be too bothered where the Belgium international ends up at, as long as the £34m rated man is off their books when the new season gets underway.
