Report: 22-year-old Chelsea player is now a prime candidate to be sold this summer
Reports have claimed that versatile Chelsea man Ethan Amapdu is now one of the prime candidates to be sold by the club this summer.
According to The Athletic, he is one of a number of returning loanees that likely don’t have a bright future at Stamford Bridge.
Last season saw Ampadu experience Italy for the second time in his career on loan, however his presence wasn’t enough to help Spezia avoid relegation.

Since being a first team player in West London, he has experienced loan moves to the likes of Sheffield United and RB Leipzig, featuring at varying levels of competition.
His best time at Chelsea so far has been under Maurizio Sarri, who frequently trusted the Wales international with appearances in Europe on route to Europa League glory.
Ampadu prime candidate to be sold
The 22-year-old however has struggled to establish himself since as someone who should be considered to be around the starting XI, instead being shipped off every season since the Italian was at the club.
This has combined to leave him one of the first names on the list to be added to the already stacked departures this summer.
The Blues have already made big money on some sales during this window, with Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic bringing in large fees.

There have also been efforts to trim the fat around the squad, with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Edouard Mendy already having their departures confirmed.
There has been a real effort to sell in the first few weeks of the window, in order to balance the books following an eventful first two windows under the rein of Todd Boehly.
Now, supporters will be hoping that an influx of additions begin to join Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson through the door.
