Report: After Lukaku, Pochettino has now personally told another Chelsea player not to turn up to training

Reports have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has told Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to not turn up for pre-season training yet.

According to the Mirror, the new manager has condemned the 33-year-old to the same fate as fellow striker Romelu Lukaku.

It is widely expected that Aubameyang will be on the move this summer after what will go down as one of the worst seasons an individual has had at Stamford Bridge.

After being brought in off the back of a request of former manager Thomas Tuchel, the striker played one game before the German was sacked.

Despite scoring a pair of important goals in the Champions League during Graham Potter’s tenure with the club, his opportunities quickly became limited, while his activity off the pitch soon became an issue.

Aubameyang asked not to train by Pochettino

He turned up to his former side, Barcelona, to celebrate a big win for them less than 24 hours after the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw with Everton.

This no doubt irritated some, whilst all but certainly signalling an end to his Chelsea career.

It seems Pochettino is looking to keep that kind of mentality away from his current side, as he begins preparation for next season already.

It has been claimed that the new manager has stopped him turning up to pre-season training up to now, the same he has already told Lukaku.

The Belgian has made it clear that he does not want to return to Chelsea, despite currently having no deal agreed to allow him to leave this summer.

He is hopeful that something can be agreed with Inter Milan, however so far the Serie A side have not made an offer that meets what the Blues are looking to get for his services.
