'The latest information we've got': Sky journalist has news for Chelsea fans about Romelu Lukaku
Sky journalist Dharmesh Sheth has given a big update on Chelsea’s attempts to sell Romelu Lukaku this summer.
He told GiveMeSport that the upcoming offer being put together by Inter Milan is not going to be enough for the Blues to part way this summer.
Lukaku has seemingly made his mind up that he does not see his future at Stamford Bridge, despite it being just two years since he made his big homecoming move.
He is reportedly convinced by playing for Inter Milan, where he was recently part of the side who were narrowly beaten by Manchester City in the Champions League final.
After his season come to an end, there were reports beginning to spread that Mauricio Pochettino was looking to work with the striker next season, perhaps noting their glaring issue in front of goal last season.
Lukaku update for Chelsea fans
However, Sheth has claimed that the Blues are weighing up options from a number of sides to let him go, not just Inter Milan.
He said: “Now, the latest information we’ve got at Sky Sports News is that they think that Inter Milan are trying to put a deal together that’s worth around €35m.
“I don’t think that’s going to be enough for Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and in the background, you’ve got interest from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and also Juventus have held initial talks with Romelu Lukaku.”
Chelsea have already added both Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to boost their strength up top, and there are reports that they may not be done in the market for a number nine this summer.
Either way, there is still no future for the Belgian at Stamford Bridge and many will be happy to see the back of him.
