Report: Club now eyeing replacement for their £35m player, after claims Chelsea are pushing to sign him
Reports have claimed that Crystal Palace are now eyeing up a move for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah if Michael Olise leaves the club.
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are still very much in the race to sign the Frenchman this summer as an addition to their attacking ranks.
It has been widely reported recently that the Blues are considering Olise as one of many options to play on the wings in the upcoming season.

This is potentially off the back of some underwhelming pre-season performances, none more so than Raheem Sterling.
The England international has endured a rough campaign in the United States, with many expecting him if anyone to be keen to bounce back from a tough season.
Palace looking at Olise replacement
However, the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and even an out of position Ian Maatsen looking far more threatening than the man with more than 100 Premier League goals to his name.
It has previously been claimed that the player’s release clause still stands, meaning that any side can activate it for a fee of £35m.

With Palace perhaps expecting this to occur, they are looking at lining up some players to replace him. It has now been claimed that they are one of the sides interested in signing Nketiah.
Appearances were at a premium for the young striker last season, and this will surely have been limited by the fact that Kai Havertz has also joined the club.
While it has been claimed that Mikel Arteta is looking to make the German international a midfielder by trade, he has plenty of experience leading the line at Stamford Bridge. That may be relied upon at times at his new club.
