‘Very interested’: 23-year-old would really like to join Chelsea, but Pochettino doesn’t want him – journalist
Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that attacker Joao Felix would be very interested in a move to Chelsea this summer.
He took to a Twitter space to state however that at this stage manager Mauricio Pochettino is not interested in his services for the upcoming campaign.
It has been a difficult summer for Felix, with his most recent competitive club football coming at Stamford Bridge at the end of last season.

Now back at Atletico Madrid, he has proven rather unpopular with the supporters. He was recently booed loudly when his name was announced at a home game.
After joining Chelsea on loan back in January, he showed the best and the worst of his game in a cameo that unfortunately coincided with some of Chelsea’s worst form in recent memory.
Pochettino still doesn’t want Felix
When it came to having to return to Atletico, everyone waited to see if the new manager at Chelsea was keen on him returning.
This turned out to be Pochettino, however he preferred the team’s propsects with new signing Christopher Nkunku in the role.
Ironically now, the Frenchman is injured and may not play for the club again in 2023.

While many have believed this could revive the prospect of Felix returning to West London, Jacobs has claimed that this is currently not likely.
He said: “Felix would be very interested in any Chelsea approach, especially if Barcelona falls through but there is nothing active at the moment and it would have to take Mauricio Pochettino u-turning on his input for that to change.”
Felix’s inconsistency in front of goal saw him fit in quite nicely to the woes the club were struggling with last season, and the efforts to move away from this have left it unlikely for him to return.
