‘Wait and see’: £50m Chelsea player may now still stay even after Moises Caicedo has joined – journalist
Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher may still stay at the club this summer.
He told GiveMeSport that this still may occur even after the club-record addition of Moises Caicedo earlier this week.
The Blues finally got a deal for Caicedo over the line yesterday, announcing him as their new big signing.

It has been claimed already that they were hoping for him to make his debut against West Ham on Sunday.
If he is to start, it is likely that it will be instead of Gallagher when looking at the side who faced Liverpool in their opening game.
The England international certainly put in a strong performance for the Blues, and staked his claim to remain in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans going forwards.
Gallagher to stay with Caicedo
The midfielder has been linked with a move away this summer, with a price tag of around £50m being discussed.
Brown has claimed that he will still believe he has a place in the team despite the recent signing.
He said: “There’s still a possibility that this might make his mind up and that he decides he does want to leave. There are clubs who are interested in him, but I think we have to wait and see really to make sure that Lavia does come in.

“Because if it is just Caicedo that comes in, I think Gallagher knows that he’ll get chances and he’s in a pretty good position now to stake a claim at Chelsea.
“He’s probably closer to the first team than he has been for quite a while. So I think he wants to stick around and probably will in the end.”
It remains to be seen whether the addition of Romeo Lavia is made, with him reportedly choosing a move to Chelsea over any potential transfer to Liverpool this summer.
