'I'm told': Journalist says how Chelsea's owners are feeling about Mauricio Pochettino right now

Chelsea’s owners are feeling extremely happy with Mauricio Pochettino at this moment in time.

That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.

Phillips reported via his Substack on Thursday that Chelsea are “very happy” right now with Mauricio Pochettino.

It is understood that the directors and owners really enjoying working with the 51-year-old Blues head coach.

In addition, Chelsea’s manager is also “very happy” with the situation at Stamford Bridge. In particular, he’s enjoying the general running and decisions from the club, plus the response from his players to his tactics.

The results on the pitch have been far from ideal to start the season, winning just two of the opening five games across all competitions.

However, it definitely feels like a feel-good factor is returning with supporters after a nightmare 2022/23 campaign. There’s a lot of positive noises coming out from the club now, too.

It was always going to take a likeable character to step into the manager’s dugout to try lift things from a very low place.

Ultimately, this is a strong squad of players which needs a helping hand as it’s so young. We feel like Pochettino’s appointment is spot on the money, albeit the steps may take time.

A win this Sunday against Bournemouth would be a great way for Chelsea to resume after the international break. The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting line-up Pochettino will select away to Bournemouth.

Afterwards, they face Aston Villa, Brighton (cup), Fulham and Burnley before the next set of internationals.
