'You don't realise': Manager says 21-year-old Chelsea loanee looks so much bigger when you meet him in person

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho has shared Chelsea loanee Tino Anjorin looks so much bigger when you meet him in person.

Tino Anjorin, who’s just 21, has been loaned out yet again this season.

The attacking midfielder has made the move to League One club Portsmouth to help his development, which was disrupted last season by injury.

Portsmouth’s manager has immediately been impressed by the sheer size and physicality of Anjorin.

“One thing you don’t realise until you meet him (Anjorin) is how big he is and he has that stature,” Mousinho said, as quoted by The Portsmouth News.

“That’s a good starting point for us if we do want to play him as a holding midfielder, because he does have that physical presence.

“He can definitely dominate in there.”

Anjorin’s had a taste of first-team football in Chelsea colours with five senior Blues appearances, but he’s going to need to do something quite special to get back to that place.

In fairness, we expect the powerful midfielder to be a serious force in League One if he can sort his fitness out.

There’s certainly shades of Ruben Loftus-Cheek about his game when it comes to powerful dribbling with a big frame. He’s got some quick feet and pace, too.

We will be keeping a very close eye on how the Chelsea youngster can do this season with Portsmouth.
