'Understood to be': Journalist shares what he’s now hearing from Chelsea about Moises Caicedo
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo could return from injury in time for the Blues’ next game.
That is according to journalist Nathan Gissing.
Moises Caicedo missed Chelsea’s recent Premier League match against Bournemouth because of a knee problem, but Gissing shared on Twitter that he should be back soon.
“Moises Caicedo misses out on today’s game against Bournemouth due to a minor knee problem that he sustained on international duty,” the journalist posted. “It’s understood to be nothing serious and [he] is expected to be available for the next match.”
It is another setback for Caicedo, who has not made the best start in a Chelsea shirt.
The 21-year-old gave away a penalty on his debut against West Ham United and lost the ball in the build-up to Anthony Elanga’s goal for Nottingham Forest versus the Blues just before the international break.

Chelsea cannot catch a break
You have got to feel sorry for Mauricio Pochettino, who is dealing with injury after injury.
Caicedo may not have been in top form prior to picking up this knee issue, but the Ecuadorian is still a quality player who you would expect to come good at some point.
Last season, he made 2.7 tackles per league game, which was the highest average in Brighton & Hove Albion’s squad (WhoScored).

Unfortunately for Chelsea and Caicedo, though, he missed the opportunity to try and build some momentum against Bournemouth.
As well as the Ecuador international, Christopher Nkunku and Reece James are also injured, big players for the Blues.
Critics will be quick to highlight how much money Chelsea have spent. But if the players they have brought in are unavailable, how much can you really expect from them this season?
With Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool all flying right now, they already face quite a challenge finishing in the top four.
