'Hot under the collar': BBC pundit noticed 22-year-old Chelsea player get really angry during Bournemouth draw

Glenn Murray noticed Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk get really angry during Sunday’s goalless draw against Bournemouth.

The Blues recorded a 0-0 stalemate on Sunday afternoon during their trip to Bournemouth, which leaves them with just five points from their opening five Premier League games.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side yet again lacked the clinical touch in the final third, with the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Conor Gallagher wasting glorious chances to get a much-needed win.

Chelsea attacker Mykhailo Mudryk, 22, was given his first start of the season at the weekend against Bournemouth.

The left-winger lasted just over an hour before being substituted off.

His time on the pitch included a few glimpses of attacking threat, including some nice link up with Nicolas Jackson. The execution of his final pass or decision is still well short of an £89million (BBC) player, though.

BBC pundit Murray spotted real frustration from Chelsea’s No 10 during the draw against Bournemouth. In particular, Mudryk was really frustrated after receiving a yellow card for a late challenge on full-back Max Aarons.

“There’s a little battle starting here between Max Aarons and Mykhailo Mudryk. It’s heating up. I think the Ukrainian is just getting a bit hot under the collar,” Mudryk told BBC Radio 5 Live (2:45pm, 17 September).

We did see a few positive bursts from Mudryk and it was great to see him in the XI. However, the pressure around him will continue to intensify until he gets his first goal. Incidentally, it’s now 21 Chelsea appearances without scoring.
