£150k-a-week Chelsea player actually left Fulham in ‘agony’ last night - journalist

Journalist Simon Johnson has claimed that Moises Caicedo left last night’s Chelsea game in serious pain.

He took to Twitter to state that the midfielder was in big pain following a knee injury suffered late in the game against Fulham last night.

The Blues got back to winning ways in the league last night as they defeated their West London rivals 2-0 at Craven Cottage.

Chelsea were fantastic from minute one, and two goals in as many minutes in the first half saw them pick up a comfortable victory in the end.

A midfield duo of Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez was finally unleashed again, and this brought great success alongside their other companion in the middle of the park.

Conor Gallagher was handed the player of the match award, and this was more than deserved as he held his own despite the two big money signings alongside him.

It wasn’t all good news though. Despite finding the net last night, Broja was forced off with an injury in the second half.

It was his first start since returning from injury, and his impact in the first half certainly suggested he was ready to contribute this season.

Mykhailo Mudryk also opened his account for the season, as well as his own one for the club as he found the net in smart fashion.

Similarly though, he was forced off at half-time with a suspected injury.

Now, Johnson has claimed that Caicedo was in agony when leaving the pitch late on.

He said: “ Caicedo in agony…left knee?

“ Caicedo is hobbling off…clearly in discomfort.”

It remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to feature for the Blues next time out against Burnley in the Premier League.
