Reece James took to social media last night to share how impressed he was with what he just saw from Mykhailo Mudryk.
He commented on Chelsea’s Instagram post congratulating the 22-year-old for scoring his first goal for the club.
The Blues finally got back to winning ways in the Premier League last night in the West London derby, beating Fulham 2-0 away from home.
Mudryk was handed his fourth start in a row in all competitions, and what he did in the first half was a culmination of weeks of hard work off the pitch.
Latching on to a Levi Colwill pass, the Ukraine international calmly slotted away his first goal for the club.
The joy on not just his face but the teammates around him suggested that plenty around the club have been waiting for this moment to happen for their teammate.
Reece James praises Mykhailo Mudryk
One who was not on the pitch but equally impressed was James, as he continues his recovery from injury.
It is likely the Englishman will not be back until after the upcoming international break, and that will certainly be hard for him as he continues to miss games.
However, his support off the pitch has been unwavering up to now, and he has now taken to social media to praise Mudryk.
Many will be hoping at the club that he is fit enough to continue the good form he is starting to show. He was forced off with an injury at half-time.
An update given by Sky Sports suggested that the club are hopeful that the thigh problem he has suffered is not serious, although it is very much a fingers crossed situation.
