Gareth Southgate now pictured greeting Chelsea youngster who has never been called up to the England squad
A photo has emerged of England manager Gareth Southgate greeting Chelsea’s Cole Palmer at the international camp.
The tweet from the official England account shows the manager shaking hands with the youngster, who is currently part of the U21 squad.
Palmer must be somewhat in Southgate’s thinking for a future squad following his impressive form at Stamford Bridge.

He has been a bright spark for Chelsea since Mauricio Pochettino made the decision to hand him a start three games ago.
That trio of matches has seen three consecutive wins, and the Englishman has been involved in at least one goal in each of his appearances.
Southgate greets Palmer
He opened his Premier League and Chelsea account last time out against Burnley, and looks as if he is going to be the new penalty taker at Stamford Bridge.
Up to now though, he has only been able to showcase his talents at international level to the U21 stage.
He was a key part of the side who won the European Championships over the summer, alongside new club teammates Levi Colwill and Noni Madueke.

With the England sides training together at St. George’s Park, it has given an opportunity for the youngsters to mix with the senior first team squad.
There are a couple of Blues representatives here, with Colwill and Conor Gallagher both pushing for minutes after their impressive form.
Despite Southgate being pretty stubborn regarding his selection, shown by Raheem Sterling’s omission, it may not be long before Palmer is actually in his thinking.
