'Just devastating': ESPN pundit reacts after what happened to Christian Pulisic this weekend
It is fair to say that former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic looked disappointed when he was taken off in AC Milan’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus over the weekend.
Christian Pulisic was sacrificed by Stefano Pioli in the first half after Malick Thiaw’s red card and ESPN host Sebastian Salazar, speaking on ESPN FC, thinks he would have been devastated after his substitution.
The American’s start to life at Milan has still been a positive one, though.

Since joining the Italian giants from Chelsea in the summer, Pulisic has played nine Serie A games and scored four goals.
Christian Pulisic devastated after substitution against Juventus
Speaking to Herculez Gomez on ESPN FC about Pulisic’s recent withdrawal at the San Siro, Salazar said: “I don’t want to do the whole let’s read body language, but you saw him come off and even if he’s not mad at the manager, even if to your point, he kinds of understands it, you could still get it from the player’s perspective.
“To be the guy that gets sacrificed in that game is just devastating. I actually probably should have used the word devastating. I’m going with disappointing.”
Christian Pulisic happy with move from Chelsea to AC Milan
Pulisic does not look to be missing Chelsea too much. The 25-year-old recently spoke about how much fun he is having at Milan.
It is not a surprise to hear that, as Pulisic has been playing regularly this term under Pioli. At Stamford Bridge, it was a much different story.
Last season, for example, the USA international only made eight starts in the Premier League.

He was not always fit, but given that Chelsea signed Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke in January and already had Raheem Sterling, it probably did not make much of a difference. Pulisic always faced a difficult task breaking into the Chelsea starting XI and staying there.
It is why a switch to Milan, where he is currently thriving, was good for him.
As for Chelsea, the Blues have moved on, if they had not already. On top of Mudryk, Madueke and Sterling, Mauricio Pochettino also has Cole Palmer who he can call upon to play out wide. A Pulisic exit was probably what was best for all parties.
