Armando Broja seriously impressed by what £50m Chelsea player's just done in the cup
Raheem Sterling made a positive impact for Chelsea in last night’s Carabao Cup success.
The Blues secured a 2-0 home win against Blackburn Rovers in the tournament’s Round of 16 phase, with goals from Raheem Sterling and Benoit Badiashile at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will play at home against Newcastle United next month in the quarter-finals.

Raheem Sterling, 28, scored his fourth goal of the season during Chelsea’s midweek cup win.
The £50million winger (Daily Mail) uploaded a post on Instagram to celebrate booking a spot in the quarter-finals, which received responses from several teammates.
In particular, Blues striker Armando Broja responded in the comment section and was seriously impressed by Sterling’s goal. He curled a superb right-footed effort into the top right corner.
“Finish,” Broja responded.
Raheem Sterling stepping up
Sterling’s still fighting to get back to his top gear, but he’s been one of the big pluses so far this season in Chelsea colours.
He’s got four goals in 12 games so far this season across all competitions. We would take that ratio now if he continues that for the whole year.
It’s pretty obvious that it’s going to take a squad effort again in the goal department because there’s no outstanding individual getting anywhere near the 20-goal mark.
Speaking via TNT Sports last month, Glenn Hoddle said Sterling is getting back this season to the player everyone knows he can be.
Has he done enough to earn a recall into Gareth Southgate’s England squad, though?
The Three Lions have a couple of games during November’s international break.
We think Sterling can catapult himself into the next England camp with eye-catching performances versus Tottenham and Manchester City in Chelsea’s next two matches.
