What Thiago Silva did with Chelsea supporters after Luton win yesterday - journalist

Thiago Silva helped Chelsea to beat Luton Town 3-2 at Kenilworth Road yesterday.

Chelsea went 3-0 up before Luton scored twice in the second half to make it a nervy finish, and the Blues’ little collapse towards the end of the game left Thiago Silva far from impressed.

According to football.london journalist Scott Trotter, the central defender looked furious at the full-time whistle. However, that did not stop him from going to the away end and sharing some nice moments with the Chelsea supporters, even taking pictures with a few.

Silva had every right to be fuming after Chelsea almost threw away a 3-0 lead.

Cole Palmer, who scored twice on the day, and Noni Madueke did a lot of hard work to give Mauricio Pochettino‘s side a three-goal advantage, which the team almost blew after an abysmal 10-minute spell.

Thiago Silva a cult hero at Chelsea

Chelsea supporters love Silva and it is not difficult to understand why. He has a strong connection with them, as seen above.

Since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer, the Brazil international has been excellent for them, and that is probably the main reason for why he is adored so much at Stamford Bridge.

Silva helped Chelsea to win the Champions League back in 2021 and has performed well in the Premier League.

He is currently making 4.2 tackles per game in the top flight, which is the highest average in Pochettino’s squad (WhoScored), and was described as “amazing” by his manager after the Luton win.

When you consider all of that, you would imagine that a lot of Chelsea supporters are going to be disappointed if Silva leaves west London at the end of the season. His contract expires then, making it a real possibility.
