'Bite your hand off': BBC pundit urges Chelsea to sign Premier League attacker they reportedly want
Chelsea should be all over a deal to sign Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson in the final few days of the January transfer window.
That is according to BBC pundit Clinton Morrison.
Callum Wilson, 31, has emerged as a potential new target for the Blues this month.
FootballTransfers reported earlier this week that Chelsea may be interested in signing £18m-rated Newcastle striker Wilson.
Meanwhile, journalist Sami Mokbel claimed via Simon Phillips’ Substack that Premier League attacker Wilson would be open to the idea of joining Chelsea.

Clinton Morrison has reacted to the Callum Wilson speculation by telling Chelsea they should make the deal happen this January.
“Chelsea need a centre forward, Cole Palmer is not a centre forward. They were linked to Callum Wilson and if you can get him for £18 million, I’d bite your hand off,” Morrison told BBC Radio 5 Live (10:29pm, 26 January).
Chelsea should sign Callum Wilson
We’re very much in the camp of liking the idea of bringing Wilson to Stamford Bridge in the next few days.
He ticks the box of being a proven goalscorer in the top division. When fit, you’ve got no doubt that the English forward will score goals around the penalty box, while his all-round hold up play is strong as well.
The Newcastle player isn’t the long-term solution or the high-profile No 9 that Chelsea desperately seek, but perhaps the club can spend a little longer finding that in the summer window.
Chelsea’s recent transfer strategy has been investing in so many upcoming youngsters from across the globe. However, it would make a pleasant change to recruit a player that looks an absolute banker to help from day one. He certainly would aid the striker department score more goals in the second half of this season.
We think paying less than £20m for Wilson could be a great piece of business in January.
