Many Premier League clubs really like Chelsea player who has just five starts this season – journalist
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has now claimed that there are lots of Premier League clubs who are admirers of one particular Chelsea player.
He told the ‘London is Blue’ podcast a lot of clubs are big fans of Armando Broja, despite the fact he has hardly set the world alight this season.
Broja currently has five starts to his name this season after recovering from a long-standing knee injury.
In appearances up front though he has only registered one goal in his first start of the season against Fulham.
He has found time on the pitch difficult to come by, after Nicolas Jackson has impressed the manager enough to be a starter for large portions of the campaign.
This has seen reports begin to spread that he could be on the move away from Chelsea, with the transfer window opening again at the beginning of this month.
PL clubs really like Broja
Kinsella has warned Chelsea though that the player has plenty of admirers right now in England, and they could regret any decisions they rush into.
He said: “Chelsea have a chance to look at Armando Broja. He’s fit enough to play now. Broja desperately needs a goal. I’d start him vs Preston and hopefully he bags and proves to everyone. Broja is the kind of player that every Premier League club would like to sign. He’s the kind of player who may be struggling now, but he could burn you in the future if he reaches the level.
“Clubs like Broja, they think he’s really good so it’s an interesting situation now to see if Broja can make that position his own and make sure Chelsea don’t sign a striker.”
The Blues have been strongly linked with a move for a new number nine, with them reportedly keen on signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli if the opportunity arises.
