'Very clear': 'World class' striker is not planning to leave despite links with Chelsea – Romano
Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that one top forward is now not planning to leave his current club during the January transfer window.
He took to Twitter to state that Roberto Firmino currently has no intentions to leave Al Ettifaq this month despite reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.
The Blues are beginning to be linked with short-term options to fulfil the reported striker vacancy that they are looking to fill.

It has been claimed that their number one target to come in up front is Victor Osimhen, although that deal has been left near-enough impossible to complete this month.
Because of this, they are only likely to make that signing in the summer, and therefore they could look at a short-term option on loan for this month.
It has been claimed that the Saudi Pro League could be what they were looking at, with Firmino one of those who could be targeted.
Firmino not moving this month
However, Romano has squished those rumours by saying that he will not be moving during this transfer window.
He said: “Roberto Firmino, not planning to leave Al Ettifaq in the January transfer window despite recent reports.
“Very clear message from his camp: he’s set to stay at Al Ettifaq. No changes expected.”
Firmino has struggled to hit the ground running over there, after having what was described as a ‘world class’ career at Liverpool by manager Jurgen Klopp.
If the Blues were to look at the Saudi League to try and address their short-term striker worries, they should instead look to bring in Karim Benzema.
The former Real Madrid superstar is seemingly looking for a way out in just his first season over there, and Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge know first-hand of his qualities after helping knock the Blues out of the Champions League in the past.
