Report: £50m Chelsea transfer target set to reject new contract to stay at current club
Chelsea are looking to go big in this transfer window in order to give the best possible backing to their new manager.
The Blues’ top signing up to now has been Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who enjoyed his best campaign to date last season under Enzo Maresca.
It has previously been reported that the midfielder has been a target for the club ever since they hired the Italian, suggesting they have a lot of faith in his time at Stamford Bridge.
Speculation about future transfer targets has not gone away, with one position they are looking to strengthen being the defence.
It has been reported numerous times that the Blues are interested in signing Marc Guehi, who spent a large portion of his time growing up at Chelsea.

He could well be looking to make that move. According to The Sun, the centre-back is prepared to reject a new contract which would see him extend his time at Crystal Palace.
The Blues face the tough task of replacing Thiago Silva this summer, after his four-year stint at Stamford Bridge came to an end.
They will not only be looking to replicate his ability on the pitch, however will be desperate for someone to come through and show some of the leadership qualities the Brazilian did during his time in West London.
Tosin Adarabioyo vocal in first training session
If this is the case, they will have been impressed with what they saw from new signing Tosin Adarabioyo in his first training session with the club.
The former Fulham man was seen being very vocal in the fitness element of the sesison, encouraging his teammates to push on when things got tough during the dreaded bleep test.
