‘Need to get rid’: Jamie O’Hara now thinks Chelsea have to sell ‘clueless’ player instead of Raheem Sterling

Chelsea made more than a big enough statement to the rest of the Premier League with their victory against Wolves on Sunday.

The Blues ran out 6-2 winners at Molineux, with Noni Madueke the star of the show after scoring three goals.

One attacker who was again nowhere to be seen was Raheem Sterling, with his future now looking away from Stamford Bridge.

It was reported that Sterling would be open to joining Manchester United if that came about, however a lot of hurdles would have to be cleared before that happens.

In Sterling’s absence, Mykhailo Mudryk was named in the starting side for the win on Sunday, although was replaced at half-time in brutal fashion by manager Enzo Maresca.

O’Hara says Chelsea should sell Mykhailo Mudryk instead of Raheem Sterling

Chelsea fans were not impressed with Mudryk’s performance, and it looks as if one other figure who was not was Jamie O’Hara.

The pundit told TalkSPORT that he believes the club should be prioritising selling the Ukraine international instead of Sterling.

He said: “People talk about getting rid of Sterling but they need to get rid of Mudryk, he’s a dud.

“He’ll nutmeg someone and kick it off the pitch. I think he’s clueless on the ball. Unbelievable, he’s not good enough!”

Pedro Neto likely to replace Sterling

Mudryk was replaced by Pedro Neto at half-time on Sunday, with the former Wolves man immediately making an impact by assisting Joao Felix for his first goal since joining the club again.

These two combining off the bench was a showcase of how much depth the Blues have going forward, with Mudryk facing a tough test to maintain his place in the side.

It feels as if he could be replaced by Neto in the long run when he gets up to full fitness, with Maresca admitting he couldn’t start successive games after his performance in the Conference League three days before the Wolves match.

Selling Mudryk may well prove an issue though, with there being no real reported interest in signing him at this stage.
