Chelsea's five highest rated players of the Premier League season so far

Chelsea are now four games into the new Premier League season, so fans are starting to get a feel for what life is like under Enzo Maresca.

In terms of the Premier League campaign, Chelsea have made a mixed start. The Blues have impressive away victories at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth, while at home they lost to Manchester City and drew to Crystal Palace.

They do currently sit in the top half of the table after a steady beginning to the campaign.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, 44, will now turn his focus towards Saturday’s trip to London rivals West Ham. Enzo Fernandez missed the weekend’s win over Bournemouth through illness, so fingers crossed the key midfielder is back and available again.

Chelsea’s highest rated players in the Premier League

FotMob data provides the individual statistics for every player in the Premier League division, so we thought we’d look at Chelsea’s best performers so far in the opening four gameweeks.

Here are the top five highest rated Chelsea players in the Premier League so far this season:

There’s no real surprise to see the likes of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson carry their form from last season into this year. We doubt many would’ve predicted Noni Madueke or Robert Sanchez to start so impressively, though.

Let’s talk about Noni Madueke

The fact that Madueke is Chelsea’s second highest rated performing player so far is a great surprise. Now, the 22-year-old winger has to keep up the high standards and cement his spot in the starting XI amid stiff competition for places within the squad.

Madueke was electric before the international break, but was taken off after an hour against Bournemouth following a fairly subdued display.

We’ve got huge faith in the skilful attacker moving forward. Likewise, GiveMeSport reports that Chelsea think Madueke is the perfect winger for them.

The England international’s aim should be to make sure he’s still ranked as one of Chelsea’s top performers in a few games time.
