‘Exceptional’ Chelsea player has statistically been the best in the Premier League in his position this season

A string of impressive Chelsea performances individually helped them to a third consecutive away win at the weekend against West Ham.

The Blues ran out 3-0 winners at the London Stadium, preserving their 100% record away from home under Enzo Maresca.

A fast start from Nicolas Jackson saw Chelsea race into a two-goal lead on, and they never really looked back as they maintained control throughout.

Moises Caicedo was a player who really stood out at the weekend, with him seeming to get more and more impressive every time he takes to the field right now.

A second clean sheet is no doubt a great achievement for the defence too, with the standout figure at the back again being Levi Colwill.

Levi Colwill the best statistical centre-back in England

The England international looks to be having a far more enjoyable time of things this season now he is playing regular minutes in his natural centre-back position.

Previously described as ‘exceptional’ on the ball by Jamie Redknapp, Colwill has frequently launched attacks from the back with his immense passing ability.

Statistically, it looks as if the academy graduate has been a dominant force in his position this season. In fact, according to DataMB, Colwill is the highest-rated central defender in their database.

Bright future for Chelsea with Colwill

Given the fact that he is also the youngest defender in their database is just further proof that the Blues are in for a really exciting future with him at the back.

He has started every game for the Blues this season in the Premier League, with Wesley Fofana also joining him as an ever present starter.

Saturday saw Tosin Adarabioyo make his first start domestically for his new club, with him not taking long to prove that he could be one of the most shroud signings of the summer and competing for regular minutes at Stamford Bridge.
