'Maresca holds the key': Premier League pundit thinks Chelsea signing is a good fit for his new manager
Chelsea made a lot of signings during the summer transfer window, really strengthening their attack.
Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto all joined the club, with the Portuguese duo making an impact in Chelsea‘s only Premier League win so far this season.
The two linked up for Chelsea’s sixth goal in the team’s 6-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Neto assisting Felix.
As for Sancho, he is still waiting to make his debut for the Blues after joining on deadline day. Darren Bent is hoping to see Sancho shine now that he has been given a fresh start in west London.

Adrian Clarke on Enzo Maresca and Jadon Sancho
There is a lot of competition for Sancho at Chelsea, including Neto, for example.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Adrian Clarke believes Enzo Maresca can get the best out of the winger and thinks that the Italian’s style of play should suit him.
In his Talking Tactics column for the Premier League’s official website, Clarke wrote: “Sancho’s stellar performances for Borussia Dortmund, en route to last season’s UEFA Champions League final, were a reminder of his capabilities.
“So, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca holds the key to bringing the best out of him. The Italian’s style of football, encouraging his wide players to be positive in 1v1s, should suit Sancho.”
Sancho has been doing work at Chelsea during this international break, so he should be ready for the Blues’ game against Bournemouth when club football returns.
Enzo Maresca really likes Jadon Sancho
It looks like Maresca also feels that Sancho could be a good fit for his style and team.
Maresca talked about Sancho as a player after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend, saying: “He is here because we like that kind of player — especially against a low block like today.”
He is going to have to break into the team, though, with Maresca having so many attacking options.
On top of Neto and Felix, the 44-year-old can also call upon Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Christopher Nkunku.
Any opportunity that Sancho gets given, he has to take it, as Madueke did when he started against Wolves.
The 22-year-old went on to score a hat-trick, which will not be an easy feat for Sancho to replicate. But if he can just break down low blocks like Palace’s one, then the England international will prove to be a good addition to Maresca’s squad.
