Tino Livramento names the one thing at Chelsea that is still 'unbelievable' right now
Newcastle United and England defender Tino Livramento has just made an interesting claim about Chelsea.
Tino Livramento, 21, certainly knows the Blues very well after spending his youth in their academy.
The young right-back left Stamford Bridge back in 2021 to join Southampton without ever making a first-team appearance in Chelsea colours. If you fast forward to now, he’s currently a Newcastle United star and has received his maiden call-up to England’s senior squad in this international break.
Speaking via The Telegraph earlier this year, Livramento admitted he’ll always love Chelsea, the club he joined at the age of seven.
He’s now made an interesting comment about his former club…

Tino Livramento speaks about Chelsea academy
Livramento has paid huge credit to Chelsea’s academy because he insists they continue to produce some of the best young talents every year.
“I feel like when you are at Chelsea, you kind of dominate the game quite a lot because obviously the academy is unbelievable. You have seen the players that have come through recently,” Livramento told talkSPORT.
Incredible success at Cobham
When you look around European football, there’s so many top players with roots back to Chelsea’s academy. Therefore, everyone who’s worked at Cobham deserved massive credit for their work.
AC Milan trio Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham all played together at Chelsea once upon a team. Meanwhile, academy graduate Conor Gallagher was sold to Atletico Madrid this summer. When you look across the Premier League, you’ll recognise familiar faces such as Marc Guehi, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Mason Mount as well.
It’s important that Chelsea’s current academy players feel there’s a genuine path into the senior squad at Stamford Bridge. In fairness, Reece James and Levi Colwill are two first-team stars that started out in the club’s youth system.
