'I expect': Paul Merson predicts the score for Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest on Sunday
Chelsea will be looking to make it six wins on the spin when they host Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Chelsea have won their previous five games across all competitions, including yesterday’s 4-2 success versus Gent in the Conference League.
Next, Enzo Maresca’s side turn their attention back on the Premier League by hosting Forest on Sunday afternoon. Let’s hope that the Blues can sign off for the international break with another three points to cement their position in the top four.
Speaking recently via talkSPORT, Jamie O’Hara explained why he thinks Chelsea could win the Premier League title. We’re refusing to go down that path yet and this squad’s aim should be to get back in the Champions League.

Paul Merson predicts Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest
Paul Merson has predicted an entertaining league clash between Chelsea and Forest at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with the hosts coming out on top.
“Make no mistake, this is a difficult and dangerous game for Chelsea. Nottingham Forest are always a threat on the counter-attack, they’ve already won at Anfield this season,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
“Chelsea don’t look very comfortable at the back. If you press them, chances will open up for you. But if Forest do press high up the pitch, then that leaves them a bit thin at the back as well. As soon as Chelsea win the ball back, Forest could be in a world of trouble.
“I just can’t see Chelsea not scoring goals, but I also can’t see Forest not scoring against the Blues’ defence either. That’s why I think there’ll be plenty of goals in this game. Even if Chelsea look a bit shaky at the back, you can at least see what they are trying to do, unlike Manchester United.
“… I expect a really entertaining game. Prediction: Chelsea 4-2 Nottingham Forest.”
Chelsea struggles with Nottingham Forest
Chelsea have played Forest four times in the Premier League since their return to the top division a couple of years ago. Interestingly, it’s been a difficult fixture for them.
The Blues have just one victory in their last four meetings with Forest, although that was back in May during a 3-2 win at the City Ground.
We think both teams will be pretty satisfied with their respective starts to the new season, so this could be a really entertaining fixture on Sunday afternoon.
