'Special': Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga hails Chelsea player ahead of Sunday's game

Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga has massively praised one Chelsea player as his side prepares to visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea host Forest this weekend in the Premier League, which is the final fixture before the October international break.

The Blues squad is building some real momentum, winning their previous five games across all competitions. They’ve actually won their last two matches by a 4-2 scoreline, Brighton (Premier League) and Gent (Conference League).

Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit fourth in the league table after the first six gameweeks. Speaking this week via Sky Sports, Moises Caicedo shared Chelsea’s target is a top-four finish.

Anthony Elanga hails Cole Palmer

Forest winger Anthony Elanga has singled out Chelsea’s Cole Palmer for huge praise before this weekend’s meeting.

Elanga and Palmer, both 22, will have had numerous battles against each other in the past. Elanga came through the academy system at Manchester United before finding a home in Nottingham, while Palmer developed in the Manchester City youth system.

“He’s (Palmer) in really good form and he’s a player I know well from the academy days. He’s always been special, so he’s someone to look out for,” Elanga said on BBC Radio Nottingham’s Shut Up And Show More Football podcast.

Can anybody stop Cole Palmer?

Palmer looks like he’s in a league of his own right now when he steps on a football pitch.

The England star has scored six goals and created four assists already in the league this season. He’s quickly silenced the doubters that thought his debut season last year was a one-off.

While the attacking numbers are obviously impressive and important, it’s his all-round game that should please Chelsea supporters the most. He’s the one individual you can bank on every matchday to produce a bit of magic and to play with utter freedom.

Forest have only conceded five goals so far in the league this campaign, which is the joint-second best record in the division. They’ll know they’re running into a very special talent at the Bridge tomorrow, though.
