Spanish media reacts to Marc Cucurella’s international display
Cucurella earned just his 12th senior cap during Spain’s 2-1 away win at Denmark on Friday in the Nations League.
He received some positive reviews from the national media in Spain after his display.
Mundo Deportivo posted on Cucurella: “Secure in defensive duties, making Eriksen’s life miserable as much as he could, he was frequently active in attack, creating advantages and facilitating the circulation of the ball down the left flank.”
Elsewhere, Sport wrote: “Marc Cucurella – 6/10. He gives his all in every action. He had an interesting duel with Bah, from which the Catalan full-back almost always emerged the winner, adding little to the attack.”
Cucurella delivered a solid performance for Spain yesterday, taking his club form into his national team.
The all-action defender was superb last weekend in the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League, especially in his work against Bukayo Saka. Graham Potter praised Cucurella’s work against Saka after their one-on-one battle.
