Chelsea predicted XI vs Morecambe in FA Cup as Enzo Maresca hands two players their last chance to impress

Enzo Maresca is going to no doubt ring the changes as Chelsea get their FA Cup campaign underway with the visit of Morecambe to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been playing Premier League games regularly over the last few weeks as the busy festive period came around, and this has seen their form drop off a cliff in the last four games.

The likes of Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo have been used in all of those games, and will no doubt welcome the opportunity for a break this weekend.

With the January transfer window linking a number of players with moves away from West London, some are approaching last chance territory to save their careers at the club under Maresca.

The Chelsea Chronicle have predicted their starting XI for the FA Cup third round, where they have lost just once in the 20th century.

Chelsea predicted XI for FA Cup tie with Morecambe

Filip Jorgensen has been forced to gain most of his minutes in cup competitions so far, and this will see him start at the weekend.

One of the youngsters recently promoted to first team duties is Josh Acheampong, and he will build on his first domestic start for the club with another this weekend.

Axel Disasi will be back in the backline, this time at last in his favoured centre-back role instead of right-back.

He will be partnered by Tosin Adarabioyo, as the auditions continue to replace Wesley Fofana on a long-term basis.

At left-back, Renato Veiga will start in place of a rested Marc Cucurella.

Moving into midfield, and it could well be a goodbye appearance at Stamford Bridge for Cesare Casadei as he closes in on a move back to Italy.

He will be joined by Samuel Rak-Sakyi in the middle of the park, whose future looks a lot brighter after some appearances in Europe this season.

Last chance for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea

Ahead of those two, it will be last chance saloon for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to succeed at Chelsea, with talk of a move away running rife.

It will also be a potential last chance to prove himself for Christopher Nkunku, who in this side features on the right of attack.

On the left, Tyrique George will be desperate to score his first goal for the club after his promotion to first team duties.

Up front, Marc Guiu will be looking to keep up his impressive run of finding the net in the Conference League this season.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Morecambe: Jorgensen; Acheampong, Disasi, Tosin, Veiga; Casadei, Rak-Sakyi; Nkunku, Dewsbury-Hall, George; Guiu
