Chelsea fans absolutely love what Enzo Maresca has just said about Cole Palmer, ‘bring it on’…
Enzo Maresca has just made an interesting comment about Cole Palmer that many Chelsea supporters are extremely excited by.
Yet again, Cole Palmer is the shining light in the Chelsea squad this season. It’s a credit to the 22-year-old talisman that the change of management and arrival of Enzo Maresca in the dugout hasn’t impacted him in any negative way.
The left-footed playmaker, who’s thriving in a central No.10 position this season, is one of Europe’s elite players right now. In 24 Premier League appearances this campaign, he’s scored 14 goals and created six assists.
David Luiz recently compared Palmer to Chelsea great Eden Hazard, which in itself shows the type of levels he’s hitting at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans excited by Enzo Maresca’s comment about Cole Palmer
Maresca has just made a very intriguing comment this week about Blues star Palmer, suggesting that he could be a potential alternative to cover the central striker position. This comes because Chelsea striker Marc Guiu has suffered a “bad injury”.
Maresca said via The Evening Standard: “Christo [Nkunku] has played already as a nine. I had Cole playing as a nine in the past [in Manchester City’s youth set-up].”
Many Chelsea supporters on social media absolutely love the idea of Palmer pushing further up the pitch to lead the line.
Here are Blues fans on X reacting to the manager’s comments…
One fan wrote: “Maresca might crack the code with Palmer false 9 and Nkunku 10.”
“My coach knows. Palmer up front. I will be there,” another said.
One supporter posted: “I really want to Plamer play as a 9.”
“With all the striker injuries, I really wouldn’t mind running a Palmer false 9 and Nkunku 10 for the foreseeable future,” another claimed.
As mentioned above, Palmer has had a brief experience of playing as a false nine in his academy days at Manchester City. He’s the most important player in the Chelsea side in a No.10 position, though.
It would be a brave call to play the England international at the point of the attack.

Chelsea issues at CF
It’s quite obvious that the Blues are struggling in the centre-forward position in this moment.
Even though Maresca wanted Chelsea to sign a striker in January, the club failed to grant his wish. Instead, there could be a real issue at the top end of the pitch because of Guiu’s injury.
Nicolas Jackson, the first-choice Blues striker, is on a run of eight consecutive Premier League matches without scoring.
We think playing Christopher Nkunku as the central striker is the most logical alternative. Perhaps they could look at promoting youngster Shumaira Mheuka from the Under-21s side, too.
