Chelsea defender will be in the squad for the very first time in the FA Cup vs Brighton - journalist
Chelsea make the trip to Brighton on Saturday night to play away at Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Chelsea are in action this weekend with an important cup tie against Premier League opposition Brighton. Interestingly, they’ll be travelling to the Amex Stadium again next Friday for a league fixture with the Seagulls.
Chris Sutton and Peter Crouch both predict Chelsea to beat Brighton, which is interesting because they’ve won the previous four meetings across all competitions. Back in September, the Blues beat them 4-2 at Stamford Bridge because of Cole Palmer’s four-goal masterclass.

Chelsea defender to be in the squad for the very first time
According to journalist Uriel Iugt, Chelsea’s Aaron Anselmino will be with the squad for this weekend’s FA Cup tie versus Brighton.
The 19-year-old defender was recalled by Chelsea last month from his loan spell with Boca Juniors.
Anselmino has been spotted in Chelsea’s first-team training as he adapts to his new home. However, the teenage centre-back is yet to be involved in a Blues matchday squad.
When you consider the Argentine youngster has been left out of the club’s Conference League squad, the FA Cup suddenly feels super important. If he’s to get any competitive minutes and a Blues debut, perhaps it’ll be in the domestic cup competition.

Have Chelsea made a mistake with Aaron Anselmino?
At this stage, fans may be worried that Chelsea made an error by recalling Anselmino.
The youngster will developing every day on the training ground with the senior squad, but it’s hard to see where he’s going to get much game time. Hopefully, he’s a surprise inclusion this weekend versus Brighton in the FA Cup.
Marseille attempted to sign Chelsea’s Anselmino on loan in the closing stages of the January window, but he’s stayed put at Stamford Bridge.
He’s gone from playing regularly in Argentina with Boca Juniors to the fringes of the Blues squad. Hopefully, Maresca and the club’s hierarchy have a plan for him.
