Chelsea legend Frank Lampard helped Coventry do something for the first time in 75 years on Saturday
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is really enjoying life at Coventry City, guiding his side to another victory on Saturday.
Under Frank Lampard‘s tutelage, Coventry City managed to beat Swansea City 2-0 at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Goals from Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante ensured that the Sky Blues returned home with all three points.
It proved to be a very significant win for Coventry and not just because it was their fourth consecutive victory in the Championship under former Chelsea manager Lampard.

Coventry City’s first win at Swansea City in 75 years
It is fair to say that Coventry have not enjoyed their trips to Swansea down the years.
For once, though, the club’s supporters were able to have a good afternoon there after beating the Swans away from home for the first time in 75 years.
It is absolutely incredible that the Championship side had gone that long without victory in that part of Wales.
It puts into perspective the job that the Chelsea legend currently at the helm is doing.

Frank Lampard could take Coventry City into the play-offs
When Lampard replaced Mark Robins in late November, Coventry were only two places above the relegation zone.
Following their win against Luke Williams’ side, they are now only three points behind the final play-off spot.
Lampard has come in for a lot of criticism during his managerial career. But the 46-year-old led Chelsea to Champions League qualification and an FA Cup final in 2020 and saved Everton from relegation in 2022.
Simply put, he is just not as bad as some of his critics have made him out to be. In the Championship, Lampard really looks like a capable coach.
The retired midfielder did a fantastic job at Derby County, almost winning them promotion to the Premier League in 2019, and is now doing the same at Coventry. Get them into the play-offs, and his reputation may just go back up again if it has not already.
