Chelsea expected to make a move to sign winger who Jadon Sancho really rates - journalist
A number of positions are being targeted by Chelsea ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window as the Blues look to address a number of issues that have cropped up.
One area that has proved a problem of late is goalscoring. Marc Cucurella is Chelsea’s top scorer in 2025, which is an extremely worrying statistic.
While Cole Palmer’s individual numbers are at an unprecedented low in the last three months, the more worrying theme of the campaign has been the lack of goals from the wingers throughout the season.
The likes of Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto have all not contributed to the level they would have hoped this season.
The biggest sign of this is the fact that Tyrique George is now pushing for a start after scoring his first two goals for the club in recent weeks.

Chelsea expected to try and sign Jamie Gittens this summer
The Blues have been linked with a number of options to come in as a new winger, with one of those being Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
They have been handed a boost in their efforts recently as it has emerged that Gittens is pushing to leave for a new challenge at the end of the season.
According to Simon Phillips’ Substack, Chelsea are at this point expected to make an effort to sign the winger this summer.
He said: “As you will be fully aware of by now, as well as prioritising a new striker and a new centre back this summer, Chelsea are in the market for a new winger or two as well.
“Jamie Gittens of Dortmund is one winger very high on the shortlist and many insiders believe Chelsea are going to make a move to bring him in this summer.”

Jadon Sancho a huge fan of Gittens
Chelsea are seen as the favourites to sign Gittens this summer, with a new left winger near the top of their list.
This could come at the expense of Sancho, who could well return to Manchester United despite it being believed his loan to Stamford Bridge came with an obligation to sign him.
The former Dortmund man has previously praised Gittens after watching him in the Champions League, a competition Chelsea are desperate to return to for next season.
