Christopher Nkunku seen having heated argument with £25m Chelsea teammate during 0-0 draw vs Brentford

There was plenty of frustration as far as Chelsea were concerned throughout the 90 minutes of their 0-0 draw in the Premier League with Brentford.

The Blues remain in the top four for now, although are under immense pressure from Manchester City, Aston Villa and Newcastle for their spot in the Champions League places.

Enzo Maresca cut an annoyed character throughout the 90 minutes as his risk of rotating a number of Chelsea players didn’t come off.

Maresca was frustrated at Brentford coaches in the opening exchanges, with Chelsea fans aiming chants at the players for the underwhelming football they were seeing in the first half in particular.

One of the players who took a large amount of criticism from the travelling supporters was Christopher Nkunku, who was handed a rare start up front.

In a heated moment in the first half, Nkunku was spotted having a fiery argument with teammate Robert Sanchez after the goalkeeper had made a save to deny Brentford an opening goal.

A pattern of the game had been the Spaniard looking to pass to the forward in the middle third, however an unsuccessful effort almost cost the Blues a goal.

Sanchez impresses for Chelsea

The outing was actually one of the better Sanchez has had for Chelsea this season, with him making a number of big saves to keep the opposition out for the second consecutive game.

There is a wave of unpopularity surrounding the £25m goalkeeper from this campaign, with many believing the Blues need a new shot stopper when the transfer window opens.

Djordje Petrovic remains an option following his excellent loan spell at Strasbourg, with Mike Penders also backing himself to make an impact at Stamford Bridge too.
