Gabriel Agbonlahor tells Chelsea player to copy Kyle Walker and find a new club
Players continue to leave Chelsea at a rapid rate this summer as the squad takes on yet another revamp.
While a lot has been made about the incomings at Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window, Chelsea have also sold multiple players to raise close to £160m.
Ishe Samuels-Smith, 19, became the latest individual to be sold by the Blues this week, completing a permanent switch to Strasbourg. Meanwhile, some of the more high-profile exits this summer include the likes of Noni Madueke and Joao Felix.

Gabriel Agbonlahor gives transfer advice to Ben Chilwell
TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor named Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell, 28, as one of the players in the Premier League who desperately needs to find a new club this summer.
When discussing Blues defender Chilwell, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT (5:42pm, 30 July): “I just think he needs to find a club where he’s going to be number one. Crystal Palace was never going to work. [Tyrick] Mitchell is a top left-back.
“He needs to maybe go down to a lower club in the Premier League. If that’s a Leeds, if it’s a Sunderland, if it’s a Burnley, just play week in, week out. We’ve seen Kyle Walker and all he’s won in the game, and he’s gone to Burnley…
“I just want to see Chilwell enjoy his football. Will his wages be a problem with a loan to a Premier League club? But he’s got no future at Chelsea, it’s obvious to see.”

Kyle Walker, 35, has enjoyed an incredible career for both club and country, winning multiple trophies at Manchester City. However, the veteran right-back completed a surprise move this summer on a permanent basis to Burnley, who are expected to be fighting down the bottom end of the Premier League table.
It will be interesting to see if Blues left-back Chilwell is prepared to do something similar in search of regular minutes.
It’s been claimed that Chelsea are prepared to sell Chilwell for just £15m because he’s not in their plans. Incidentally, he’s still under contract in West London until 2027.
However, Chelsea have received no offers for Chilwell yet this summer, so everyone is trying to be patient to find a solution.

Marc Cucurella drastically overtook Ben Chilwell
Chilwell, who joined Chelsea in 2020, should be fondly thought of by supporters. Even though his form and fitness have dropped recently, he was a key part of the Blues team that won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists | Trophies |
| 107 | 9 | 13 | 3 |
Unfortunately, Chilwell looks a shadow of the player he was at his best, which was probably when he starred as a left wing-back. We still feel like his experience and quality could benefit a team in the bottom half of the Premier League, though.
As for Chelsea, they’ve now got Marc Cucurella, who’s emerged as one of the world’s elite left-backs in the past 12 to 18 months.
Speaking in May, Robert Sanchez hailed Cucurella as one of best left-backs around. He is now justifying why the Blues splashed £60m to sign him from Brighton three years ago, developing into a complete full-back.
