How Joao Felix got on in first appearance for Al-Nassr after leaving Chelsea,

After not being selected for the Club World Cup, Joao Felix has returned to action less than 48 hours after his move away from Chelsea was confirmed.

The Portugal international joined Al-Nassr, with Felix issuing an emotional farewell message to the Blues on social media.

It was reported that Cristiano Ronaldo played a key role in bringing him to Saudi Arabia this summer, after it looked as if he was in for a return to Benfica.

Felix is set for a major payday after joining Al-Nassr, and it looks as if he is going to be a starter as part of a high-quality frontline next season.

They were victorious on Wednesday in a pre-season friendly against Toulouse, picking up a 2-1 win.

The 25-year-old started alongside Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and former Chelsea star Angelo Gabriel in attack, and played 59 minutes before being replaced.

Clearly, Felix is going to need to settle in to his new side, and there were a few teething problems playing alongside his new teammates.

The former Chelsea man and Ronaldo seemed to get in each other’s way just a few yards from the net, costing them what looked a certain goal.

Felix’s ex-Chelsea teammate wanted by Al-Nassr too

After Felix was signed by Al-Nassr, it seems as if they are not done with business with Chelsea for this summer.

It has been reported that the Saudi Pro League side want Renato Veiga, as his move to Atletico Madrid seems to have stalled.

Veiga is disappointed to be leaving Chelsea after not being given a chance to feature as a centre-back, however the Blues have already moved on in the transfer market.

A deal is set to be agreed for Jorrel Hato from Ajax, who is being brought in as a replacement for the Portugal defender.
