Report: Chelsea give backing to 19-year-old youngster by rejecting multiple offers to sell him this summer

Chelsea are now looking to sell a number of first team players after completing a lot of their signings early on in the summer transfer window.

The Blues made early moves to secure the signatures of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in time for them to make an impact in the Club World Cup.

This was a massive reason behind them winning the competition, with Pedro amongst those who starred in the final against PSG.

With Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian also added to the squad ahead of the upcoming season, there is excitement over their prospects for 2025/26.

Chelsea reject multiple offers to sell Marc Guiu

However, they will need to part ways with a number of individuals to balance proceedings, and attackers seem to be at the front of the queue for who will depart.

One player who many will believe is getting lost in the shuffle is Marc Guiu, who made a real impact on proceedings before he picked up an injury in early February.

The Spaniard was the top scorer in the Conference League group stages, and has clearly left a lot of other sides monitoring his situation, and looking to sign him on a permanent deal.

However, The Athletic have claimed that Chelsea have rejected any sales of the 19-year-old, and instead would prefer to loan him to a side in England.

There was talk of Guiu trading places with Delap at Ipswich Town, however that has not seemed to progress in recent weeks.

Chelsea prioritising selling established stars instead of Guiu

The promise that Guiu can deliver in the future seems to have encouraged Chelsea to look elsewhere when it comes to exits this summer.

Joao Felix is being heavily linked with a move to Benfica, however the demands of the Blues could make it difficult to see that deal go through.

Chelsea want around £43m for Felix, and given the fact they paid nearly that a year ago makes it difficult to see them getting their wish.

The Blues are also hoping to move on Christopher Nkunku despite his Club World Cup exploits, while the future is not clear for Nicolas Jackson amid the new attacking options at Stamford Bridge.
