Joao Pedro makes exciting prediction about Chelsea teammate who's impressing him every day
Joao Pedro walked into a Chelsea dressing room this summer filled with so much talent in all areas. In particular, he’s been impressed by fellow new signing Estevao Willian.
It’s been a rapid start to life at Chelsea for 23-year-old Brazilian forward Joao Pedro, scoring five goals and providing three assists in eight Blues appearances. Pat Nevin has hailed Pedro’s move to Chelsea, adding it may be a better deal than Alexander Isak’s transfer to Liverpool.
Estevao Willian, 18, was another Brazil international to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Even though the teenage winger hasn’t scored in his opening four matches for his new club, he’s caught the eye with some dazzling performances. In fact, Chelsea think Estevao could soon be worth £200m because many view him as a future superstar.

Joao Pedro excited by Chelsea teammate Estevao Willian
According to Pedro, Chelsea attacker Estevao has the football ability to become something special in the future. On top of that, he shared that the teenager impresses him every day as he continues to work hard off the pitch with the language barrier.
When asked what has impressed him the most about Estevao, Pedro told Sky Sports Premier League: “Everyone can see he’s a talent. I think he just needs to adapt with the language and the city. The good thing I see is he wants to learn. He wants to try to speak the language. He wants to improve every day. This is very good because everyone knows when you are young you don’t care that much about things.
“He’s young, but he wants to improve every day. If he keeps going like this, he’s going to be a top, top, top player.”
John Obi Mikel has heard positive things about Estevao and the people close to him. It certainly looks from the outside that he’s got a mature head on such young shoulders, which is a great recipe for success.
It is an extra bonus for Estevao that he shares a dressing room with Pedro and Andrey Santos at both Chelsea and Brazil.
With the 2026 World Cup just around the corner, we expect to see Chelsea’s Brazilian contingent go all out this season to impress.

Enzo Maresca shouldn’t be afraid to unleash Estevao Willian
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca deserves credit for the way he’s managed his squad ever since he came to the club, but we would perhaps like to see him take a few more risks with Estevao.
At 18, the South American rising star has been integrated into Chelsea’s group at a decent rate. We feel he’s ready to explode in English football if he gets a run of starts, though.
Maresca explained Estevao still needs time ahead of Saturday’s trip to face Manchester United in the Premier League. However, Old Trafford feels like the perfect stage for the Brazilian talent to run riot, so we would love to see him start for Chelsea this weekend.
