What Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was spotted going at full-time after Chelsea lost to Tottenham
Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was seen after full-time yesterday swapping shirts with Tottenham defender Clement Lenglet while still on the pitch.
The 33-year-old was making his first appearance for a few weeks after frequently being left out of the squad by Graham Potter.
The manager claimed in his pre-match press conference that he had been extremely impressed by the former Arsenal and Barcelona man in training this week, with him back in contention for an appearance.
The relationship between the duo has been rough this season. Aubameyang was visibly annoyed when Potter subbed him off against Manchester City, despite him not starting the game.
Things looked set to be at a tipping point when the striker was the unfortunate man left out of the squad registered for the Champions League knockout stages, with one needing to go to register the new signings.

He did return to the pitch against Spurs, albeit only for the final 10 minutes as part of a double change that introduced Mykhialo Mudryk.
What happened at the end of the game may not have gone down too well with Chelsea fans though. The striker was seen swapping shirts with former teammate Lenglet whilst the players were still on the pitch.
The rivalry between the two sides has if anything got fiercer in recent years, and their record against Tottenham is something supporters hold with pride.
Until yesterday, the Blues had not lost at their opponent’s new stadium, and the result will only increase the pressure on manager Potter.
Despite what seems a consensus amongst supporters, it seems the owners are still backing their man to turn things around at Stamford Bridge, despite the dire form the club find themselves in in 2023.
