This week: Chelsea will meet club in the coming days to sort out unbelievable players future Romano
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are going to meet Manchester United in person this week to sort out the future of Mason Mount.
He took to YouTube to state that United have taken up the Blues’ offer to speak in person in an attempt to find a conclusion to this saga.
The Mount news is looking as if it is going to dominate the early weeks of the transfer window, with his time at Stamford Bridge looking as if it is coming to an abrupt end.
This is despite him spending more than half of his life as a member of the club, and already twice being the player of the year at Stamford Bridge.
Erik ten Hag has been leading United’s interest in signing the midfielder, although the two clubs are yet to come to an agreement regarding a transfer.
Chelsea to meet United this week
So far, it is three bids that the Blues have rejected, leaving the Red Devils considering even walking away from the deal.
Now, Romano has stated that the two Premier League giants are going to meet in the coming days to discuss reaching a conclusion to this deal.
He said: “Man United have taken up Chelsea’s offer and decided to speak directly club to club over Mason Mount, and talks will happen this week to decide what happens.”
Chelsea will be more than aware they are risking losing a player who has the ability to be their strongest player when at his best.
Previously described as ‘unbelievable’, it only takes looking back past last season to remember just how important he has been for this club since breaking through, and doing everything to try and convince him to stay would be recommended.
