Report: Chelsea now very impressed by 20-year-old attacker on international duty they may now sign him

Reports from France have claimed that Chelsea have been left very impressed by the performances of Frenchman Rayan Cherki recently.

According to Olympique et Lyonnais, the Blues are now on the list of suitors that could potentially bring the 20-year-old in this summer.

The U21 Euros have been a great platform for Cherki to show off on a continental stage just how promising his career is.

Even though yesterday saw his tournament end at the hands of Mykhailo Mudryk and Ukraine, he still found the net as he opened the scoring.

With many still not convinced by the attackers available for Mauricio Pochettino going into next season, there will be plenty who are hoping that another exciting name or two come through the door, and Cherki certainly fits this bill.

Alongisde Mudryk in the semi-finals of the tournament, another couple of Chelsea players have been impressing greatly on the international stage.

Noni Madueke recently picked up a man of the match award after a sensational display as part of the front four for England.

As well as the winger, Levi Colwill has been a regular in a defence which has yet to concede a goal at the tournament.

There are plenty of eyes on the defender with his future still a little bit in the air ahead of next season.

Chelsea are insistent that he is not for sale, and they see him as a crucial member of their first team going forwards.

This has not put the likes of Brighton off trying to sign him, with them having the pleasure of having him on loan last season and further developing him as the brilliant player he already is.
